The Newport Polo Series is a one of Newport's oldest traditions and most popular summer attractions here at this seaside resort. Bennet had previewed the new game of polo, on a recent trip to England. The game caught the imagination of the buccaneering class of the Gilded Age. Today over 23 nations from all six contents have competed in the Polo Series at Glen Farms in Portsmouth.
